1. You must feed these cats carefully. Giving them your dinner scraps isn’t completely out of the question, but they do have some known allergies. These include salmon and wheat. Allergies can also vary from cat to cat, so make sure you get to know what your cat needs. A pretty common issue with bengal cats is a problem called “rolling back.” This is when your cat’s spine will start to twitch, and your cat will begin to pull its fur out. If this happens, it is guaranteed to be a food allergy issue.

2. You may want to invest in a running water bowl for your bengal cat since it would usually drink out of a running river or stream. But if you don’t want to, it would be fine to just put down a dish for your cat. Every once in a while, turn on the bathroom sink and let it drink from there!

3. Their kitty litter boxes need to be big with a high ceiling and walls for privacy. Apparently, it is possible to train your bengal cat to use a toilet as well! There are kits to help you through that if that is the route you want to take.

4. Make sure to brush and bathe your kitty regularly. Use luke warm water and cat specific shampoo. Also, do not get anything in your cat’s eyes.

5. Play with your cat! They are incredibly playful animals and will bond with you through playing.

6. If anything ever happens to your cat or you think it may be sick, you can always take it to your neighborhood vet. Also make sure to take your cat for their yearly checkups and booster shots.
